On December 7, 2008, Pat Forde wrote the following: &quot;In 2004, the nation&#039;s other vital, voter-driven enterprise -- college football -- decided its BCS national championship in Florida&#039;s Orange Bowl amid howls of protest from the undefeated team that was excluded, Auburn.&quot;

Memo to Pat Forde. In 2004 there were *two* (TWO! 2!!) undefeated teams excluded from the national championship game. You can make the argument that Utah was undeserving, but you can&#039;t make the argument that Utah wasn&#039;t undefeated or that Utah wasn&#039;t excluded.
